Together with various European governmental and non-governmental partners, we started studying and idealizing a new transversal healthcare system.
Our research indicates that European healthcare systems need to undergo significant changes to meet evolving challenges. For instance, the average length of stay in acute care varies widely, highlighting inefficiencies that need addressing. Furthermore, healthcare systems face rising costs due to aging populations and technological advancements, with the EU average hospital admission rate standing at 17.3 per 1,000 population. These statistics demonstrate the urgent need for European healthcare systems to adapt to ensure equitable, efficient, and high-quality care across member states.
